In karate, the belt system is more than a way to track progress – it’s a symbol of dedication and growth. Students begin with a white belt and work their way through a series of colors, each representing new skills and milestones. The ultimate goal is the black belt, a mark of perseverance and discipline that can take years to achieve.
But even within black belt ranks, there are levels known as “dan” degrees. Earning a first-degree black belt is a major accomplishment, but higher degrees reflect decades of training, teaching, and contribution to the art. While the highest possible rank can vary depending on the style, many systems recognize a 10th degree black belt as the pinnacle of achievement.
At Championship Martial Arts Oak Creek, students of all ages are encouraged to set their sights om personal growth, whether they’re beginning their journey in the Oak Creek Kids Karate program or challenging themselves in the Oak Creek Adult Karate Program
